A name invites questions a body of work cannot answer. Who is behind it, where from, why the covering — all reasonable, and all beside the point. The mask settles this efficiently.

It is not concealment; it is permission — permission for a rope session to be about the rope, for a film to be about the cut, for the record to stay legible without a face attached. Identity arrives through the work or it does not arrive at all.

So the mask stays on, and the work does the introductions. What remains when the face is removed is the only part that was ever transferable: the movement, the rhythm, the standard.
